Volume 3.5 Chapter 24: Someone Wants To Join

Keith wasn't focused as he stared at the rib-eye steak. His eyes locked onto it. The marbling on the meat was especially vibrant on this cut.

This is better than fine marbling. Keith was in awe. 

To get a great crust on the steak, pat dry the meat. Keith took some paper and dried any moisture. Any moisture would kill the crust. He seasoned the steak like he did with the New York Strip. 

Once he did that, he drizzled some oil into the pan. 

Like that, he placed the steak on.

Everyone could hear a resounding sizzle from the pan. Give the steak a few minutes to sear on both sides. Keith flipped it over. A rich brown-golden sear was on the steak. Keith seared all sides of the meat before placing some butter into the pan. 

He wasn't done as he added the rose plant and other herbs. 

"!" The nose of everyone twitched. That aroma! Keith didn't notice the expressions the other had. He basted the steak with melted butter and herbs. Slowly, the smell started to intensify.

"Grhhh!" Cadmus held himself back. He was grunting and gritting his teeth as he stared at the pan. 

"Hold it," Sohma and Aidiun grabbed his shoulder. This man was going to pounce!

"I know!" Cadmus understood. He was going to wait for the finished product to be served! Waiting was a tortuous game. Keith took the steaks off the pan, letting it rest. 

I need to cook that. Keith took some asparagus out. It was time to taste them. Diana helped him grow it as soon as possible. And it was a great vegetable to pair with the steak. He placed them into the steak pan. 

It absorbed the mixture of herbs, butter, and steak juice!

After Keith finished, he tossed the roasted vegetables onto the plate. He placed all the steaks onto a plate. The sides were asparagus and roasted vegetables.  

"Alright, we can eat!" Keith smiled. Like that, the others didn't hesitate as they started to eat! 

"So delicious!"

"The rib-eye is more tender than the cubed steaks!"

"The taste is so amazing!"

Everyone was screaming like no tomorrow as they ate. Keith laughed at the sight. But he was eating with a happy expression. The meat was incredible. 

...

"I'm so full!" Cadmus said as he hunched down in his seat. That was too delicious. 

"Hehe,"

"Why are you grinning like that?"

"I'm definitely going to show this off to everyone when I can!"

"Huh?" Keith gave him a strange expression.

"What? Do you understand how annoying your father is when he keeps talking about food!" Cadmus scoffed. 

"No?" Keith shook his head. He didn't peg William to be the type to brag.  

"He does!" Cadmus retorted. Whenever Wiliam met with him or Julius, he would talk about Keith's cooking like no tomorrow! He kept praising it to the point that he had enough. 

He finally had something on him! 

"And Shire and Tennol are going to get it!" Cadmus crazily laughed. That was how happy he was. 

Aidiun could only shake his head at the sight. He felt pity for his co-workers. 

"Anyways, Grandpa Cadmus. Did anyone come to the office to join my island?" Keith wondered. There should be at least some students who asked to join, right?

"There is someone who wants to join your island," Cadmus smiled. 

"Really?!" Keith slammed his hand onto the table. 

"Mmhmm, there's someone who wants to join your island," 

"That's awesome! Who is it?" Keith was curious now. Who was the one who decided to join his island? 

"He will be there tomorrow. You don't have to worry about it,"

"Understood!" Keith pumped his fist.

"..." The adults didn't know what to say about it. His expression was bright.

...

"Hah!" Keith entered one of the rooms in the mansion. He had cleaned it, and it was time to sleep in it. This was going to be his room. 

"Goodnight, everyone." Keith smiled as he went to bed,

"Hello, guys!" Keith waved his hand at Kreye, Hepha, and Rhea. When he went to bed, he was sent to the white space again. 

"Keith, it's been a while." Kreye smiled. 

"Why have you called me here now?" Keith tilted his head. When that was said, Rhea and Hepha scratched their heads. But then the two kicked Kreye forward.

"Hey!"

"Don't tell me. Do you guys want to try the steak?" Keith grinned. This was the usual. 

"Please and thank you!" Kreye clapped his hands together. 

"Sure. You don't have to worry about it," Keith laughed. A second later, the ingredients appeared in front of him. 

"Let me get to work!" Keith smiled.
