Volume 3.5 Chapter 25: What Are Friends For?

"Nghh!" Keith woke up as he stretched his hand into the air! That was the best sleep I had in a while. He had been sleeping in the tent for quite some time now. But it was the first time sleeping in the building. It was warm and comfy. 

Keith turned to Aria and Fira, "How do you guys feel?" 

"It was really comfy!"

"Ho!" Aria nodded as well. The two exited the mansion. He looked to Diana, who was watering the garden.  

"Good morning, Diana," Keith smiled.

"Good morning, Keith," Diana smiled. Keith did the usual thing as he moved his hand back and forth. He had to get his morning stretches. After that was done, Keith made breakfast.

Keith left the island and headed to class. As he walked, Keith was grinning like no tomorrow.

"What's the matter with you, Keith?" Carolyn noticed the change in Keith's expression. He was too happy.

"That's because Cadmus said someone wants to join my island!" Keith answered.

"Really? Someone wants to join your island?" Carolyn tilted her head. 

But that caused Keith to scoff, "Why do you sound so surprised?" Is recruiting someone really that surprising? 

"That's because you are really wacky," Carolyn didn't lie. Everyone thought of him like this. 

"How about you join my island as well," Keith suggested. Having Carolyn on his island would be fun. 

But Carolyn shook her head, "I would love to join your island. But I've joined the island my brother's on." 

"I see," Keith looked down when he heard that. 

"Don't look so glum. Are you unhappy about me joining?" Carolyn chuckled. 

"Hmpf. It would have been exciting," 

"I'll come to your island every day, so you don't have to be so worried," Carolyn laughed and added, 

"By the way, when will you bring me to your island?" She asked before, and Keith stated he would show her around. But only after he finished the mansion.

"I will. But I need time to fix up the mansion," 

"Fine,"

"What's the matter, you two?" Gabriel entered the classroom. He noticed the conversation the two were having. 

"There's someone who wants to join Keith's island. He's really excited about it."

"Really?"

"Mmhmm!" Keith nodded his head. 

"That's great," Gabriel didn't say anything else. 

Either way, he was a little happy to have more help on the island. While he was lost in thought, everyone started to come in. And like that, class started.

Keith wasn't focused much in class. He was focused on who decided to join his island. 

The class went on for a while. It was the usual. 

It was time for Keith to head to Cadmus's office. He knocked on the door, 

"Principal Cadmus, I'm here,"

'Come in, Keith," Like that, Keith entered the room. Keith questioned, "Is the person here yet?" 

"He will come here soon. You're really excited about this," Cadmus shook his head. The expression Keith had was anticipation,

"Of course I am,"

"And the person's here," 

Keith's eyes widened when he saw who entered the room,

"Gabriel? You're the one who wants to join my island?" 

"Hmm? Did you expect something else?" Gabriel questioned. 

"I thought you already joined another island," With Gabriel being in S-class, he thought people would recruit him. 

Gabriel explained, "I didn't join any island," There were people who tried to recruit him. But he rejected them all. 

"Then where have you been living?" Keith was shocked about this. If he wasn't living on the island, where did he sleep? 

"Oh, I've been sleeping at the inn," Gabriel answered.

"That's where you've been sleeping?" Keith blinked. How much did you spend? 

"Don't ask." Noticing the expression, Grabriel had a wry look. Looked like he spent a lot.

Keith questioned, "You understand people call me the weird guy, right? Are you fine with that?"

"You don't have to worry about that. I don't care what others say about you. And I prefer someone I know rather than joining a random one," Keith was the best choice. When he heard that he had an island, Gabriel knew he had to join.

"Thanks," Keith slapped his hands when he heard that. But Gabriel laughed, 

"What are friends for,"
