"We need to take out that Leader Zombie," Shane said to his group. The small Winged Zombie was too quick and had no way of flying.

Although he had experience fighting against flying creatures during his time in Fairy Realm's Invasion, this Winged Zombie was only half his size and was still quite different.

"We will do our best!"

"Yes! Just tell us what to do…"

Lysandra, Loreen, and the other rescued girls were eager to help. They might not be the best shooter out there, but they have enough stat points to have better control of their bodies. As long as they were given instruction, they believed that they would be able to help.

Although Shane would profit a lot if many Light Orbs were destroyed, Shane wasn't that evil. They had to help this shelter and ensure that the casualties wouldn't be so high. After all, they all have the same enemies: the Zombies.

Soon, Shane gave some instructions, and they moved into position. Their firearms were ready as they all waited for Shane's signal to act. Although their chances of hitting the Zombie were low, a rain of bullets that covered a certain direction might be the best option they have in this scenario.

Shane was, of course, using his Golden Desert Eagle, aimed carefully, tracking the Leader Zombie's erratic movements.

As he made a prediction, Shane signaled the area where he planned to shoot so everyone could follow… Soon, they pointed at the post nearby where a Light Orb was still working.

As soon as the Winged Leader Zombie entered their range, Shane fired!

Bang!

The bullet grazed the Zombie's wing, causing it to falter. His team followed suit. Their shots were coordinated and only had a delay of less than a second.

But Shane and his team were prepared. Their combined firepower soon overwhelmed the zombies!

Although these Zombies were quick and tough, Shane's Golden Desert Eagle wasn't ordinary…

Bang! Bang! Bang!

One by one, the Winged Zombies fell until only the Leader remained.

This time, Shane's eyes lit up… No one had noticed, but he had just activated his Petrification Talent. It was only a Common Grade Talent, but it was enough to petrify the Leader Zombie' left fist…The sudden hardening of its fist made it slightly deviate from its trajectory, and Shane didn't miss this opportunity…

Although he could hurt the Zombie with his Desert Eagle, the bullets weren't just enough to pierce through its hard skull.

In the end, Shane summoned one of his Exploding Throwing Knives and threw it to the Leader Zombie… It tried to block with its hand, but Shane still had Telekinesis talent!

When the Leader Zombie thought that it would be able to block the attack, the knife changed its direction and made an arc to hit the Zombie's face!

Boom!

As soon as Shane heard this message, he sighed in relief.

Then, he watched as the Zombies crashed to the ground, its body spasmed for a moment before finally going still.

'I'm actually the first killer… This is awesome…' Shane thought with a grin on his face. He didn't expect that he would still get this 'First Kill' reward during this time. After all, he believed that all types of zombies had already appeared and had been killed by some survivors.

'The Winged Leader isn't really that strong… I guess it's about the location… Its base is probably too far, and no other Survivors discovered their base yet.' Shane mused.

After some consideration, he decided to take all the Instant Experience Potion. They certainly don't give enough experience anymore, but he needed to accumulate them since the Boss Raid Event could give thousands of experiences, and a guaranteed level-up would probably not happen in the next six months or so.

Shane then looked around and confirmed that this time, the shelter only lost 20 of the 40 Light Orbs that Lord Han Zhuo had placed. Apparently, they kept the other ten as their reserves.

It seemed that they made the right call.

"Whew… Let's loot!" Lysandra said as she looked at the zombies they killed. No matter how many times she did it, she was still looking forward to any looting attempt she made. Not knowing whether she'd get a high-grade item or not gives her some excitement she needed from time to time.

The others also started celebrating as soon as they confirmed that the threat had already been repressed… Most of the soldiers were actually unable to attack once the Winged Zombies flew just a couple of meters off the ground. After all, they mostly have arrows, and they are afraid that they'll just hurt their own people if they miss their targets.

Thankfully, Shane's group was able to get in a better position with their firearms and eliminated the group of Winged Zombies who had been destroying their Light Orbs.

Shane then decided to loot the Winged Leader Zombie and allowed the others to loot the normal ones.

"Yes." Shane muttered.

Shane quickly checked the new item and confirmed that the screeching whistle could actually call for any living birds within a kilometer radius. Shane wasn't sure where he would need this, but he was still thankful for the drop he just received.
