"These items significantly boost your magical and healing capabilities, making you not only a key support but also an unshakeable presence in battle with versatile defense and healing effects," said Horizon.

Silphie nodded with a smile. "Thank you."

The cloak fit Silphie perfectly, enhancing her cuteness with the soft, fluffy fur trim around the collar. The hood, adorned with delicate antennae, made her look like an adorable moth, too precious for words.

Lydia, unable to contain her excitement, squealed, "Silphie is so cute!" She immediately wrapped her arms around the smaller girl, squeezing her in a tight hug.

"Alright, Lydia, it's your turn now," Horizon said with a grin, turning his gaze to her.

Lydia reluctantly let go of Silphie and rubbed her hands together eagerly. "Oh, I can't wait! What did you make for me?"

Nyx scoffed. "Is it really necessary to gear her up? Feels like a waste of resources to me."

Lydia snapped her head toward her, eyes narrowed. "Waste of resources? Excuse me! I'm the weakest one here, which means I should be equipped with the best gear. Don't you think?"

Von nodded instantly, his eyes practically turning into hearts. "You're absolutely right, my beautiful Lydia."

Nyx rolled her eyes and muttered, "Hopeless thief, perverted elf."

Ignoring the banter, Horizon presented a finely crafted set of armor to Lydia. "Here you go. This should boost your stats and give us the edge we need to win this competition."

"Whoa, these are incredible!" Lydia gasped, her eyes sparkling with amazement as she ran her hands over the sleek armor.

"They'll boost your speed significantly and enhance your ambush attack skills," Horizon said, his tone matter-of-fact. "Since you're a thief, I figured this was the ideal gear for you."

"Thank you, thank you!" Lydia beamed, though her mind was already racing about how valuable these items must be. All of these must have coast more than 20 Aurums!

Not to mention that other's gears, and Horizon just casually gave these treasures to them?

But of course, she wouldn't dream of selling them. They were far too important right now.

Honestly, when Horizon said he'd forge equipment for her, Lydia hadn't expected much. But this . . . this was beyond anything she had imagined!

Was Horizon some kind of Master Blacksmith? she wondered, her curiosity piqued.

The thought of sticking close to him was becoming more tempting by the second, as the mission about the egg slipped to the back of her mind.

But then something struck her. "Wait a minute . . ." Lydia snapped her attention back to the armor, narrowing her eyes. "Why is my gear silver tier while everyone else's is gold? Isn't that a bit unfair?"

Horizon remained stone-faced. "Your stats are too low to handle gold-tier equipment. Believe me, if you could wield higher-tier gear, I would have made it for you. But silver is your limit right now."

Nyx snickered from the sidelines, arms crossed. "Dream on if you think you can handle gold-tier with those pathetic stats. You're lucky to have gotten silver at all. Iron is just right for you."

"Shut up, you," Lydia shot back with a stick of her tongue. "Thanks. Forging all of this must have been touch. But isn't this gear a bit overkill for us?"

Horizon nodded solemnly. "Since our stats are evenly matched against the other groups, our only real advantage will come from our equipment and the five items each of us can bring into battle."

Lydia shrugged. "Makes sense, I guess."

Von, who had been silent until now, grinned and cracked his knuckles. "With gear like this, we're gonna dominate the competition!"
