The Wife of Hades

After putting his wife to bed, Mo Han disappeared into the bathroom, closing the door and pulling out his phone.

A small smile appeared on his face as he remembered what he had read earlier as he called Gu Yechen and Qin Wei.

The two of them picked up at the same time, and immediately, two annoying voices entered the bathroom.

"Why are you calling this late at night?!" Qin Wei groaned unhappily.

"I am sleeping, this better be important," Gu Yechen said coldly, both of them seeming to have forgotten who their boss was.

Mo Han leaned back against the sink, crossing his arms together, "I have an order for both of you to get done as soon as possible."

"Sir, if you haven't realized, it is midnight right now!" Qin Wei complained.

"I don't care, then get it done tomorrow morning. I need to see it done by tomorrow."

Gu Yechen sat up on the bed, rubbing his eyes, "Hurry up, what is it?"

"I don't care how you do it, but get all of your employees to go to a reading site called XX and vote for a book called 'The Underworld King's Beloved Wife', understand?"

". . ." Both Qin Wei and Gu Yechen looked at each other weirdly, "When did Mr. Mo suddenly get into reading contemporary romance novels?"

Mo Han rolled his eyes, "Whatever, just go open it. Good night."

Then, he hung up on the two of them, putting his phone away and going to bed himself.

The warm sunlight spilled into the room, waking An Luxia up. She rubbed her eyes as she looked out the window. Noticing that Mo Han was still asleep, she decided to lay in bed for a little longer.

She grabbed her phone, opening it up to scroll through social media. Then she opened the reading platform app she wrote on to read some books but to find a surprise waiting for her.

She clicked open her book and her mouth immediately fell open as she wondered if she was dreaming.

What in the world was happening?! No, she must be dreaming! An Luxia closed the app and even went to the extent of powering off her phone and reopening it. However, the app still revealed the same exact information.

There must be a glitch. There must be a problem with the app. Not only was there no way her novel had suddenly become this popular overnight, but her novel was also new, so there was no way it could be in the top 7!

All books in the top 10 had at least 100 chapters, and here she was with less than 10 chapters. Nonsense! Was someone spamming?

However, as An Luxia scrolled through her novel, she realized that the comments and reviews had also increased. How did this happen?!

And, many new readers were finding her book because of the sudden increase in population. An Luxia's heart pounded as she quickly went to get her laptop to upload a new chapter.

However, before she could step foot off the bed, she suddenly heard Mo Han's voice, "Where are you going?"

An Luxia excitedly whirled around, jumping back onto the bed and practically landing on top of Mo Han, "Oh, little Hanhan, you are my lucky charm!!! Guess what happened?!"

Mo Han raised one eyebrow, already able to guess what had happened, "What?"

An Luxia had completely forgotten about the fact that the novel should be a secret to Mo Han, since it was their story, but she was way too excited.

"I started writing a new novel recently, and it reached the top 10!!!"

Seeing An Luxia's eyes sparkling with happiness, Mo Han couldn't help but also smile. It seemed like Gu Yechen and Qin Wei had done their job well. Pay raise!

He gently rubbed her head and pulled her down for a quick morning kiss, "That's great!"

"I'm going to go upload a new chapter, and then I'll cook breakfast today!" She said excitedly, hopping off the bed. 

As An Luxia went to upload a chapter, Mo Han reached for his phone and sent Gu Yechen and Qin Wei two words: "Good work."

Within a minute, Qin Wei replied with a cute smiling emoji of a cat and Gu Yechen did not express any reply.

After uploading a chapter, An Luxia happily skipped into the restroom to get ready for the day and then went to cook. This time, she agreed to letting Mo Han help her in the kitchen, although that did not turn out great.

Together, they ate breakfast happily during this early winter morning.

Winter break started in about two weeks and everyone happily went home after taking their finals. Li Yilan was nowhere to be seen because she had started filming for her drama, which would last the entire winter break.

It was a short drama and the other characters had already been filming for several months already, as Li Yilan was added into it midway by the investor.

The winter break would last for a full month and school would resume mid-January.

An Luxia laid her entire body onto Mo Han's legs as the car smoothly drove up the mountain back home. They were going home quickly before going back down the mountain to go visit the An family for a family dinner.

An Luxia looked up at Mo Han, who had his eyes closed calmly as he gently stroked An Luxia's head. She smiled sweetly, turning her head around slightly and wrapping her arms around his waist as the car entered the gate.

Before long, they returned home and An Luxia excitedly disappeared into the room to change into a comfortable sweater for the family dinner.

They entered the An house a few hours later, and the delicious smell of food immediately greeted them. Together, the family ate a pleasant meal.

--- Many days later

"Come, come. Eat fruits, eat fruits!" The entire family of five gathered around the living room to eat fruits after a Christmas dinner.

Yes, time during break seemed to fly like the wind, and before long, it was towards the end of the year already. 

An Luxia leaned her head against Mo Han's shoulder sweetly, waiting for the fruits to be fed to her mouth. In the mere span of half a year, so much has changed.

She got married! She was no longer a single woman, but the wife of a man. And not just any man! The man she had known practically since birth. . . Well maybe not at birth, but since she was very young.

Together, the family played cards and had fun. An Luxia and Mo Han stayed at the An family's house Christmas night, and they were going to stay all the way till New Years.

After a long night, the only thing An Luxia wanted to do was go to sleep. She changed into her pajamas and laid down on her small bed inside her bedroom, which she hadn't returned to in a very long time.

The blankets had been washed clean, and it truly felt like she was back home. An Yuchen would also be staying in the home for the last few days of the year.

She replied to some comments while waiting for Mo Han, but put her phone away since she was really getting tired. As her eyes slowly shut, she suddenly heard a click as the lights in the room were turned off.

She knew it must have been Mo Han who turned it off, and she didn't think much as she continued to sleep. Then, she felt a sudden gust of cold wind enter the closed blanket, causing her to shiver as it was very cold during the heavy wintertime.

She had expected for Mo Han to quickly crawl in and trap the heat inside the blanket again, but it continued to feel cold after several seconds.

She slowly blinked her eyes open, wondering why Mo Han was still not on the bed when suddenly, she felt a heavy weight on top of her and his face entered her view.

She frowned, "Mo Han, what are you doing? It's cold, hurry up and go to sleep."

  A corner of his lips lifted as he looked to the side, using one finger to lift her chin up, "Mrs. Mo, you seem to have forgotten that you have a husband that you didn't even save a space on the bed for him."

An Luxia raised one eyebrow as she looked to her right and then her left and realized that she indeed did not leave any empty space for Mo Han to sleep on. She must have rolled around when she was slightly unconscious and due to the small size of the bed, it was hard for a large man like Mo Han to squeeze in.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She tried to move but Mo Han would not get off of her, "Let me -"

"It's okay, you don't need to move. There is no problem with both of us sleeping in the middle of the bed."

An Luxia furrowed her eyebrows together, rubbing her eyes, "How? It's okay, there is no space -"

"I'll just sleep on top of you."

Before An Luxia could react, his lips were on top of hers, blocking out her view of anything else but his face.

In a few minutes, the cold room naturally heated up as a romantic atmosphere filled up the space.
