Volume 3 Chapter 43: Cafeteria Lunch

"I think I'm going to die," Carolyn groaned. Her head was down on the desk in disbelief.

Keith sighed, "Don't do that," Did you forget you're a princess? You shouldn't be doing things like this. Think about your image!

"How are you so fine and dandy with everything thrown at you?! Are you a monster?!" Carolyn glanced at Keith. The latter was too unfazed by all this information. He continued to copy it down without a thought. He was inhuman!

Keith shrugged, "It's easy to understand." Yes, the professors threw a lot of information. However, it was simple to understand. Even a five-year-old could understand it. That was why Keith was so unfazed by it. He was a quick writer.

"You just need to learn how to write faster," Keith remarked. That was the only thing that was needed.

"You monster!" Carolyn glared at him. Asking her to write faster? Did he think she could do something like that with a snap of a finger? She wasn't a god!

"Keith, you're asking for the impossible," Gabriel was the same too. You couldn't write faster just because he said so.

"Anyways, we should go to the cafeteria now," Keith stated. Hearing that, Carolyn got up from the desk.

Like that, the three walked over there. Keith was excited. What kind of food would they have? When they arrived at the cafeteria, the three noticed it was large. There were two floors!

It was filled to the brim with students.

"We get our lunches over there," It was a simple procedure. Keith and the two lined up to get their lunch. But when the chef handed the food, Keith was shocked.

"What is with this food?!" Keith was shocked by the food they handed them! It didn't look appetizing at all! There were three different things on the tray. One was mixed vegetables, and the other was boiled potatoes. And that last one is meat...He thought.

It was slop.

Keith couldn't tell what it was.

"Let's find a seat," Gabriel suggested. Like that, they looked around. The three found a free space and sat down.

"Is this what we're eating?" Keith was shocked beyond belief. There was no way the food would be like this. Have to try it. Keith gulped and took a bite.

Goodness! Keith's face turned undefinable! What is wrong with this food?! The taste was indescribable!

"Ugh!" Carolyn made the same face. But Gabriel was the only one who didn't,

"What's the matter?" He stared at the two, wondering what was wrong with them.

"It doesn't taste good," Keith stated.

"Yeah," Carolyn agreed with him. She turned to Keith, "Keith, don't you have some bread on hand?"

"Yep," Keith nodded and quickly summoned some bread. He needed something else. Carolyn didn't hesitate as she ate the bread. Her expression was pure bliss as she ate.

"I think the two of you have high standards." Gabriel sighed. The two ate so much good food that their taste was abnormal.

"No! No! The food in Keith's house is extremely delicious. And when he cooks, it's even more delicious!" Carolyn remarked.

Gabriel tilted his head, "How good of a cook are you?"

"I'm okay,"

"He was the one who created most of the recipes at the White Forest Bakery," Carolyn added. Okay was an understatement of the making.

"Ahh, that would make sense," Gabriel clapped his hands. But it was still surprising to know about a noble who liked to cook.

I should bring my own lunch next time. Keith thought about it. There was no way he could survive eating this all the time. After this thought, Keith started to eat the food.

"Keith, what are you doing?!" Carolyn stared at him, wondering what was wrong with him. Why was he continuing to eat the food? Keith explained,

"I don't waste food," Even though it didn't taste good, he would still eat it.

"..." Carolyn had no words to say, but she did follow his lead. They were in tears as they ate. It was like they were forced to eat it!

"..." Can you two not act like this? Gabriel wanted to laugh at the two. But after they had finished their food,

"I've been meaning to ask, but isn't there a lot of tension between everyone?" Keith questioned the two.

"Eh? You don't know?" Gabriel was surprised by Keith's words.

Carolyn shook his head and said to Gabriel, "Gabriel, this guy is dense as a brick when it comes to these things,"

"I see," Gabriel took a deep sigh as he stared at Keith,

"Can you guys tell me?" Keith scoffed. They treated him like some guy under a rock for 1000 years!

"Keith, there's a lot of tension between all the races."
